Thanks for posting these!

Thanks to ChilliPepper I`ve discovered that I could also put Apistos with my Bolivian rams and have been googling the super red ones. They`re really cute looking little things and I think they`d give my tank the splash of colour I`m after. I have pebbels at the moment in the bottom of my big tank, wasn`t too sure on changing to the sand/gravel substrate but it looks good in yours.

I take it yours all get on well together?

they get on fine so far but the apisto's are only about an inch long there the slowest growing fish ive ever had i got them around xmas time and there only 1" strange because the laetacara araguaiae and the bolivians have grown huge in less than half the time

there kept around 26c-27c i think some of the colouring is down to the crappy camera there more orange than brown in the flesh

been trying to get some picks of the laetacara but they keep hiding

Yeh probably the camera to some degree, just seems to be deep orange and a lot of it! I guess more comes with age. Stunning fish.

They get on alright then? It looks like a big tank so i guess that helps!

yeah they get on fine for now i will probably have to take a few of the apisto's out as they get bigger as i think theres 4 males and 1 female so i will have to change the ratio to 1 male 4 females the tanks a 75 uk gallon
