Been doing a bit of research on festivums and can't seem to find any definite size that they get to.

Some people seem to say that they reach 8-10" whilst others say they rarely see one reach 6".

What experiences do people have? Also, therefore, what tank size do people suggest for a festivum?

As with a lot of fish around this size, festivums suffer from the "wild size" syndrome where people quote the maximum size ever recorded in the wild for a fish as being its maximum size, when in aquaria it really isent. This would be the 8-10" option. I really dought a festivum could get to 8", let alone 10".
Maximum would probably be 6", but you may have an exeptional male that hits 7".
Tank size, for one in a community, a 3ft would be fine. Two females would also be fine in a 3ft. More than this would need a 4ft.

Ok, thankyou for clearing that up sev boy :good:

No problem.
I had a problem similar to yours when I asked this forum and got about 6 different sizes quoted.
