Festivums

Hi everyone,
I was thinking about getting two pairs of festivums for eaither my 4'x1.5'x1.5' with a pair of Heros appendictacus, 5 Myleus sp. and a female bandit cichlid with softish water; or one pair for my 3'x1'x1.5' tall tank with two climbing perch and two snakefish with hard water. Will the festivums be ok with the severums (the male, although large ignors a tiny 2cm Urau (soon to be moved) and is generally a true gentelman), and which tank will suit them best.
Also, are there and other points I should bare in mind?

When you say pair do you mean breeding pair?

The festivums would be fine with severums, but you'd need a bigger tank I'm afraid, as festivums have the potential to reach 8".

The biggest I've seen is about 6''... have you seen an 8'' one yourself?

I'm not denying they could reach 8'' I'm just curious

It would just be a pair, but if they bred I would move them to another tank. The biggest festivum ive seen was a 5". Can you tell the sexes apart?

Nope not seen them myself, but if the max size stated by a few sites says 8", it's best to prepare for the biggest. Even at 6" two of them and two severums (up to 12"), and other fish, would not fit in a 4 x 18 x 18.

No I'm just curious... I have liked festivums for a long time, and have had them for about a year..

I'd want to see a pic of an 8''er..

They have them at the local aquarium in a tank that is enormous, but none were bigger then about 6''
