Festivum, Continued

The festivum flag cichlid is the festivum choice for me i believe
is this species aggressive, and is it a hardy species?
also may this cichlid live in harmony with Rams, specifically Bolivian.
ALso, how is this cichlid with guppies, neons, mollies, gourami.
Any advice is welcome

Hi - in my experience Festivums are quite nasty tbh, most people say they are similar to Angels which is about right, mostly calm if kept correctly but even when kept in ideal situations (big tank, not over crowded) they can still be quite nasty as with any cichlid. After my experience I find it hard to recommend them as they were a big problem for me - though just as a guess I think that they could be quite a gregarious cichlid and because of that they could have a need to be kept as a group to smooth out most problems.

As for your other fish - I would not reccomend them with Neons as they could end up as snacks and they are quite an open water cichlid like Angels and so could come into conflict with the Guppies and Mollies.... and Gourami actually.

As I said on your other thread tank size is important to tell us and numbers of your fish when you ask for suggestions on additions
