I received my shipment of plants earlier than expected yesterday so I don't have any fertilizer (or root tabs for the swords). I currently have two anubias nana, one anubias coffeefolia, two Amazon swords, one java fern, and we are currently missing the shipment of salvinia.

How long can these plants go without ferts or tabs? All of them are grown except the coffeefolia, which fits easily into my palm still. We will have to price check as well, so if the cheapest options are online they may have to wait for shipping :(

Given the plants have been "out" of light, nutrients and probably water for a few days in shipping, I would get them in a tank or other container of water, even just floating, and add fertilizer as soon as you can get it. If you can plant them in the tank itself, all the better.

Substrate tabs will benefit the swords a lot. A comprehensive liquid supplement will benefit all plants. I just posted about three good products, available online and maybe in a local store depending where you are. Fish/pet stores here aree considered essential stores so they are open. Thank you! They are all in the tank right now and working on rooting, and have been since yesterday. I believe I'll be looking for seachem flourish, and if you have any root tabs brands you like that are safe for fish and snails I would be very grateful. We are going to price check when my mom gets home to find where we'll be purchasing our fertilizer

The Seachem Flourish Tabs are one of the best and I use them. One benefit of these is that they only release nutrients as the plant roots need them, and not into the upper water column. This is better for fish, and discourages algae. These come in packages of either 10 or 40. One tab next to each sword plant, replaced every three or four months, so they will last a while.

That is very helpful, thank you so much! I'm off to grab some now!

Good. Remember the liquid is the Flourish Comprehensive Supplement for the Planted Aquarium, to give it its full name, and not any of the other "Flourish" products.

Good to know! I haven't gotten the liquid yet but the tabs are flourish and say gravel bed supplement for the planted aquarium. Is that correct?
