i went to the lfs to buy some plant fertilizer as i don't think that the flourite is providing enough nutrients for my plants. so i saw fertilizer and just grabbed and bought it. when i got home i realized that it is meant for pond plants. :S its made by aquarium pharmaceuticals, and the ingredients list is:

ureaformaldehyde
calcium phosphates
potassium sulfate
calcium sulfate
magnesium oxide
sodium barate
copper sulfate
iron sulfate
manganese sulfate
zinc sulfate

can i use this in my tanks? i have never used any fertilizer and i am just looking into putting CO2 in. the tank i am most concerned about is a 20 gal long with flourite and sand substrate, 65 watts of 6500K lighting

thanks for any suggestions!

I use dry ferts (the estimative index... there's a small number of people doing it now)

I dose potassium nitrate and potassium phosphate, and then a liquid to pick up all the trace nutrients - Seachem Flourish. it has iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, inositol, chlorine b12, biotin

It looks like you are getting a good mix of ferts in there.

Have you opened the bottle yet? Could you take it back to the store?
