How should i chose a female, I have a stunning betta i would like to breed and can place up to 300bettas to homes.

I was once thinking about this and i dont think that there is any set way

usually you pick one that is of the same size and healthy really!

it all depends on what fry you would like at the end, red is a very dominant colour as are the tail types veil and plakat

whats your male like? picture? =]

Health, size, colour, fin type, heritage . . .

You wouldn't just pick a female based on how they looked - you have to understand enough about genetics to be sure you'll start getting fry that you want and you need to be aware of their parents/grand parents so that you know what other traits might come out in the fry.

Hi, to me it looks like a chewed up VT? So, it wouldn't really matter what the female would be, VTS are most dominent so most of your fry will be VT.
Do you know how old he is? Any older than 1 then they shouldn't be breed for health reasons.

And yes, it is very important knowing the parents of the bettas, esp. of they came from a LFS.

A few weeks later, when his tail had grown, it looks like a double tail delta,
