I can keep a small group of frmale bettas in a 10 US gallon, can;t I? If so, how many? It'd be a one sex species tank.

no less then 5 no more at the very max 8, and that would be with very regular water changes and females that get along very well.

if there is less then 5 arguments and fighting can break out. I have 5 females in a 29 gallon with some other fish and I need to pick up a few more females, because they still pest each other a bit.

you MUST have hideing places too!!

i have 5 girls in my 55gallon and am getting more. 4 are from the same spawn which lowers aggression and one is from my lfs.

make sure you add the girls all at the same time or one will take controll.
also get them aquanted with each other before adding them together. it helps alot.

and MAKE SURE THEY ARE GIRLS if you get them from your lfs they may have PK boys marked as girls
