Females And What?

just wanting to know that when people say that bettas and gouramis shouldnt live together
is that just male bettas or females as well

is there any other fish that FEMALE bettas should not be kept with

I would say that you would have more luck keeping a girlie with an Angel or Gourami than a male but I still wouldn't do it. The girls can be just as bad as the males.

One of the girls I have was given to my by a local LFS because she was in a tank with some neons and she was shaking them like a dog and breaking their backs. In my tank she's happy and funnily enough she's not a bully, but when I tried to show her a male she went ballistic and was hitting herself up against the side of the tank trying to get to him, so if she was in with Angels or Gourami then I'm 99% sure they would get a piece of her mind as well!

i found my 4 girls to be just as bad and aggressive as my males so its a matter of personality i think

what has been said is very true, it does really depend on the fish, i have about 7 female betta in my community tank and i have both Angel and Gourami in there but i had to remove 5 as they were evil towards them.
