Hi MewMew42 :)

Don't worry about starting too many threads; that's why we're here. Sometimes it does take a little time for someone to answer. I'll move your thread into the Livebearers section where the people most likely to help you will see it. :D

If that fish has always had a tail shaped like that it is a variation I have never seen before. That does not mean there is anything at all wrong. I rather like the look. Have you tried any breeding to continue that line and get it to where it would be reproduced in the fry with some reliability? Chances are you won't find another with that particular fin shape to breed with so it will be a case of breeding with a normal fish then breeding back one of the fry to the original fish to get things established. It may go quicker if you breed your fish with a Hi-fin variation since it looks like it may have come from one.

That does sound pretty interesting! when i get another tank i will look into this. i love how unique it is thats why we picked it [it was the only black on in there]

but thankyou for your help

much appriciated
:good:

Very interesting with the three spikes in the tail... it looks like a half lyretail, so you might get better results outcrossing into a lyretail line.
