Female Swordtail With Sword

Hi

I am fairly new to keeping tropical but have recently noticed thatmy female swordtail has grown a sword.

Is this unusual?

All young fish look like females and then sword can develop before the gonopodium.

Swords are one of the fish that are notorious for sometimes developing their sex characteristics quite late. An apparent female developing a sword is not at all unusual.
