I just dropped some flakes in my main tank and noticed my female ram acting strange, she was chasing other fish away from a piece of bog wood I have in their, the male was at the other end of the tank sampling some flakes (which they never eat).
She was darting at any fish that came close, including angels and a little bala shark I have. She also had a little jig she was doing, popping her fins up.
As far as I was aware they were cave spawners and not likely to spawn in a community tank, any ideas anyone?

Here’s a little video of her dancing, she does this same thing over and over then chases something, it will take a while to download, you’re getting it straight off my pc.

Dancing ram

Thanks, Tom

they aren't "cave" spawners. Mine will actually spawn anywhere they seem to like. They've laid on a piece of bogwood, in the sand at the front of the tank, under a plant, on a rock etc. And they will spawn in a community tank. they aren't very shy and will do it even with everybody watching. :D . and once they lay watch the male too, as they both will become more aggressive towards tank mates.
