Female Platy Under Constant Harrassment

I've noticed one of my mickey mouse platies is being constantly harassed by one of the males. I actually wish he would just go harass one of the lonely females in the tank but alas, he won't. He is stressing her out and she tries to retreat into the vallis at the back of the tank but it doesn't deter him. In fact I've noticed some aggression from him towards other nearby platies.

She might be pregnant but I can't really tell with her because she's always been big period.

Any ideas on what to do? At least one of the other females is getting pretty testy by the whole situation too. Not at the male...but at the MM female.

sounds like she needs a new home - do you have or can you get another tank? Or know anybody with community fish who can take her?

I'd take the male and rehome or swap him to my QT tank if anyone. There was never an issue between them over the past couple months. I keep hoping one of these times she just spins around and gives him a good one to stand up for herself.

Lol I know exactly what you mean, I have similar thoughts about my male Honey G. I'm almost willing my female to give him a nice big fin slap!

In seriousness though, I think some Platys are just agressive by nature these days. I had one like it and just had to take him back to LFS in the end coz he was terrorising the tank. and he was the smallest!

Today being my normal cleaning day of the week I may try and net the male and put him in my QT tank if I see that things are not back to normal when I get home after work and turn the lights on. Just a pain in the butt to net fish when I have plants and a huge piece of driftwood that provide excellent protection from things like that lol.
