Female Platty

Hello everyone,

I am new to breeding in general so bare with me. I recently had a guppy give me a bunch of fry, and they are about a week old doing very well. I have a female platty who is looking a tad on the large said, although unlike my guppy, she does not have a gravid spot that I can see. She is a deep ornage colour. I want to make sure I can save the fry if I can, so any suggestions on how to tell if she is or not?

I have the same problem i have three dark orange mickey mouse plattys and one looks like she is about to burst but no gravid spot so maybe they dont need a gravid spot we could see whos bursts and has babys first

I'm sure anyday now we'll both have lots of fry!

I will have to keep a close eye on her and try and figure out when he plans to drop the fry. This will be my first batch of platy fry, very exciting!
