Internal bacterial infections are quite infectious, although i have found that some types of fish seem to be more prone to getting them than others, personally i'd advise treating the whole tank just to be on the safe side, the anti internal bacterial Interpet med is a strong bacterial med but does not appear stressful to fish and is absolutely safe to use with your types of fish . Just remember to read the instructions thoroughly, for example the medicine needs to be disolved in some warm water first before putting it in the tank to make it the most effective .

Well, the female guppy died today while I was treating her. Nonetheless thanks for all your help and I hope her young one makes it into adulthood.
