I have several female bettas in my 55g. Today, two of them were fighting at the top of my bowl. Is this something to worry about? I have pinned one of the females up to seperate the two of them.

Bit confused. Are they in a 55g tank or in a bowl and how many are there?

How long have you had them. Females can be agressive towards each other, it may also be possible that you have a rogue male in there. This has happened to us 3 times.

If you're sure they are all females you could try taking them out and bagging them separately, rearrange the tank and make sure there are lots of hiding places. After about an hour let them back in one at a time with the least aggressive going back in first and the most aggressive last.

Well there is one that we were questioning. She was originally marked as a male but at the time, she looked like a female. Its fins are a little bit longer so I've been questioning whether or not it was the female. Should this be the one that I isolate?

With ours we put him in a breeding net still in the girls tank and the next day there was a big bubble nest. Also you can check when she/he flares if there is the extra bit under the chin then it will be male. Try putting a mirror up to him/her and see what it looks like. Our males will automatically flare up at the mirror whereas the females don't tend to so much.

Have you got a pic of him?
