i have one female that was in a comunity tank but got bullied so she wedged herself dwn the bk of the fillter and her eye really sticks out and isnt goin bk in (i think shes blind) shes on her own in a 5g tank apart from that shes fine
would i ever be able to add more females or will they bully her coz of her eye?
if i can add more how many should i add?

I would have to say no.

First reason is she would get nailed by any newcomers due to her recent injuries. Secondly, 5g isn't big enough to have a group of females

ok thanx do you know of anythink else i could put in there
ive gt 2 albino corys im thinking of putting in there soon

Hi

In all honesty, Cories are shoaling fish and as such should be in groups. With cories, its the substrate area that is important so a 5 gallon doesn't give enough area for them.

You may get away with Pygmy cories? Or you could look at small fish like Galaxy rasboras or copper harlequin rasboras. 4 or 5 would be the absolute limit IMO.

would i be able to have 4 or 5 neon tetras or black neons or would the betta attack them

Is this the female from the "my betta got stuck down the back of the filter" post?

I'd personally go for Rasboras as they tend to be a bit more laid back than Tetras.

I'd wait until the betta has fully recovered though :good:

ok thanx

the only rasboras they have at my lfs are harlequin Rasbora and there about 1 and a half cm would the betta attack them

yh it is from that post wilsonnw8

Well then I think you should leave her on her own a week longer, the healing process takes a little while. Bronzecat is right that you couldnt add any other betta girls as the pecking order fight would be unfair. I think she is really better off on her own with perhaps a cleaning shrimp?

yh i wasnt going to buy any more fish yet i was just looking for some idears
but her eye dosnt seem to be getting better it just sticks out on one side and it isnt goin bk in do you think it will stay like this

Possibly if it is swollen due to fluid or inflammation it could go down over the week or two you might want to keep up with the anti bac meds just in case. If the eye has been badly damaged then it could stay that size and not repair effectively. None the less keep on top of water stats and being wary of new fish and where you buy them from as they can remain susceptible to infection Hope this helps :good:
