Hello guys

I saw some female bettas in my LPS and I was wondering what other fish do they get on with???

I have a 120 litre tank.

At the moment I have 2 danios and 5 tetra....i am going to get at least one clown loach if I can...

My pet shop said they should be okay with female bettas...

What do you think???

I am not ready to buy them yet but it was another stocking idea.

female bettas tend to be ok with most community fish,(male guppy's are sometimes a problem) although it can depend on the temperament of the individual fish as they are all different, but its recommended to either only have 1 or have 4 or more, as they will squabble amongst themselves and you need this amount to spread out the aggression.

but with regards to clown loaches, please don't
Information about the maximum size of the clown loach varies, with some estimates ranging from 11 to 14 inches (40 to 50 cm), and with typical adult sizes ranging from 7 to 10 inches (15 to 20 cm).....

A harmless, very active, social fish, they are best kept in groups of 5 or more and due to their potential size a 100 gallon aquarium should be the minimum size used.
