When I move my fish out of my 30 gallon to my 60 gallon the 30 gallon will be empty so I was thinking I could put my 7 female bettas in it? They are currently in a 14 gallon.

Is a 30 gallon too big for them or will they love it?

From what i have seen through this forum female bettas do fine in community tank (with no fin nippers) so have them in there would be fine i think (its just what i think) as long as they have a few hiding spot cause females can be agressive among each other on some occasions.

hope this helps can anyone add to my respones (whether itt is correct or not)

i wouldn't go adding them though until a few more comment cause i could be wrong i wouldn't want deaths on my advise !!!!!

i have two females in with barbs, neon, skirt and really small oscar (he wont be in there long he will be moved when he gets a little bigger) i have heaps of hiding spots and there is no trouble at all

hope this helps your question

blacky out .

I don't see why upgrading their tank would be bad, it can only be better. Especially since females are not bogged down by the long fins of their male counterparts, there shouldn't be a problem.

P.T.

They should be ok Elisabeth but get ready for the pecking order to be sorted out again as they are in new surroundings. Besides, you can add some more now :D

Hmm...I wonder if it's worth it moving them...or if its just best to leave them where they are then?

Right now most of the girls are still babies..quite small...maybe the 14 gallon will end up being too small once they are adults??

I just got over the problems I was having with them.... the 2 sick girls pulled through  I cant believe it myself...

I'm just afraid if I move them it might bring on stress and then some other disease or something... :/

Ol'a
doubt they will get disseased. they should fine. have good spots of hiding for them to be in. the most hiding the less stressed out.
