ok heres my problem i want to start a female betta tank i can rehome all my current fish but i want to keep my krib...would it be compatible with female bettas?

I would suspect it would ok aslong its a nice peaceful one, and dont get a male with her, thats when the trouble happens :)

ok thanks well my krib is fairly peaceful...but...i know i cant keep my neon with them but what about...harlequins? and a swordtail?

ok it is 96 litres and the dimension are; 81' length 31' width 46' height (im guessin that is centimetres)
so how mant female bettas could i keep in this tank alongside a krib and possibly swordtail...and any other reccomendations on what else i should put in there

sadly i have only 1 he's old an the others died in all honesty once he dies i wont be buyin more which is the reason theres only 1
so anythin else i could keep with the girlies an a krib? prefarably not shoalin fish you know like tetras an stuff (yes yes i knowtetras are fin nippers anyway)

hmm yeah it would be nice but ive tryed both fish an my lucks not been to good with them...but yeh bottom feeders are a must so corys an khuli's will be headin the list....anythin else you know say a mid level swimmer

p.s whoooooooooo thats my 500th post lol im a five fishy member haha

i dont think you could really have much more than 6 females, 4-5 cories and the krib + swordie in there :)

Bret

kool thats great although i have 1 last question insted of 4-5 corys could i have 3 corys and add a flying fox to the list

Well, cories really like to be in groups and flying foxes im pretty sure get pretty aggressive :)

ok thanks oh im realy excited just rehome my male betta my harlequins an neon an i can have some girlies :D ive been a long time waiting for this :hyper: well off to the planted section of the forum to find out a bit about plants im not to sure but im considerin a few

BUMP! sorry haha

ok i have rehomed my neon and harlequins so after rehoming the male betta i will be gettin the tank ready for females this means possibly getting a few live plants and a few more hidey holes also i was wondering about wether i could keep an apple snail in the setup planned plus perhaps an adf and some other kind of snail (possibly malaysian) the last critter would be to stir up the gravel and stuff so what do you people think?

I think you would need to think about the snail as the females could get nasty and turn on the snail... erm, about the ADF, as usual precautions make sure it is an ADF not ACF and just keep an eye on them . All depends on the fishes personality :)
