I have had this little purple female for 8 months now. I got her when she was small about only an inch or less then an inch. She is full grown now. She has been show the horizontal lines that mean stress on and off a lot. Today I noticed she has a lump on just one side of her body. She still eats she still swims and still defends her territory of the tank. She eats and acts normal but has the lump and horizontal lines. I have 5 other bettas in the tank and they are all fine.

Should I set up a hospital tank for my female with the tumour? Or should I just let her live out her live in the big tank?

Here are some photos I just took of her. Does it look like a tumour to you guys? The lump is kind of more in the middle of her body then near the front.

She looks stressed out. I wonder if that has to do with her having a medical problem.
:-(

you can try seperating her and using some good anti internal bacterial meds, and use a bit of epison salts in the water to reduce the swelling and see how it goes. But if that does not help its probebly a tumor.

heres a thread I had made that shows some examples of certain tumours and other lumpyness.

Good photos. My bettas tumour does not look like that one. It is more a lump only on one side. Will what ever she has spread to the others? You think it could be a bacterial infection? I have never had a betta with this before. I have had bettas with ick. fin rot, fungus, constipation. Never a betta with a mystery lump. I am setting up the hospital tank today and will be moving her in it tonight.

OK And now I have noticed my steel blue female has stringy white poop.. So they both have an internal parasite. I am freaking out. I have put them both in the hospital tank.
