I wanted to know if i should feed my young fish (rummynose tetras, cardinal tetras, kuhli loaches, dwarf gouramis, guppies and platty) vegetables. Today i tried peas, i boiled them for 3 minutes then put them straight in icy water for a minute and then squeezed the inside soft stuff in my tank, None of the fish except the guppies and platty really seemed interested. The rummynose and cardinals didn't even touch the peas?

I did the same a couple of nights ago as they were tearing at my plants ... guessed they needed some veggies.

My young platies loved them (4 months old)! I was even surprised to see a couple of cories having a good go at them aswell.

These things are trial and error. Some fish like veggies some will ignore them but if you keep introducing them you might find they have a nibble eventually.

I'm still trying to get my new Oto's into courgette - so far they've just ignored it but I'll keep trying

Yep provided they are chopped small enough for them not to choke or get stuck - they wouldnt provide them for fish if they were bad for them. They will soon let you know what they do and dont like!
