Feeding While Away For A Few Days

i was wondering if anyone has used any of the products they sell for feeding fish while on holidays , we go away for a few days at a time and its hard to get someone to come in on a regular basis all the time . i have seen a product they call a holiday ring i was wondering if anyones used these. it claims to work 10 - 14 days . i usually feed my fish 3 times a day. i mix it up with flake , blood worm and frozen shrimp brine been thinking of adding a few live shrimp as feeders, i also add a algae tablet once in awhile

You can buy one of those automatic feeders that shoot the food out every day. I would probably get a pretty decent one though, don't want it malfunctioning. Fish can actually go a pretty long time without eating, a few days wouldn't hurt. But if you say you go out of town a lot then it might be wise to consider an automatic feeder or something.

if your going for less than a week at a time then don't worry about feeding. They should be just fine. Healthy adult fish can go a long time without feeding.

yea i havent fed my small community since friday and its not cos im on holiday, jus cos im poor lol.


theyll happpily wait till payday (wednesday) to eat again.


my bigger fish on the other hand, well, i have to feed my oscar or else hell try eat everyone else

Just don't buy one of those little clay 7 day feeders... they do more harm then good.
