Feeding Tropical Fish With Shop Bought Fish Roe

Can I feed my community fish with shop bought fish roe?
If so which one? fresh or tin or both?
if so can you make into blocks and freeze it?

If you were to use any I would always buy fresh, probably semi liquidise (pulp and then freeze).
Tinned variety may include some unwanted additives.
