It sounds like a good idea to feed my endlers some peas to help with there digestion since I only really feed them algae wafers. How should I prepare the peas? Surely I don't just plop them in there straight from the can?

I wouldn't feed canned peas as they add salt?  Only the frozen kind.  I just cook the peas in boiling water for our dinner and save a few for the fish, shell them and squish a bit and plop them in.

What I do is, I get some frozen ones and get the hot water tap running, when it's hot enough I put the peas under it until all the ice is gone. I then deshell it and make sure it is thawed in side. Then I cut it up a bit and then use the side of a knife to squish/mash it. When I think the pieces are small enough I feed it to my fish. :)
Make sure that all of the pieces are smaller than your fishes eyes.
Good luck. :)

Canned peas are fine if you can find some without a lot of salt, fresh or frozen peas are better. Just cook them like you normally would and deshell them, it'll be a nice treat. :)
