I was told that I should feed my guppy fry hard boiled eggs smashed up in water for lots of protien. Is this true?

thank you. I was also told to watch how much I feed them because since it is so full of protien, it will cause them to grow faster. :dunno:

Hey, I didn't know that. I assume it would be good for swordtail fry, as well? Hopefully. If I get a couple to live through the trying ordeal of birth, I'll try it out.

I bread sword tails once and they lived off of crushed flakes. That is only because I did not know about the eggs. I sold my babies (when the were older) to a pet store. The parent both died but I may get some more some day.

I didn't use eggs with my baby mollies but I think liquifry 2 is made of egg and algae - so it's less hassle but still has the protein. I fed mine liquifry 2 for a few weeks, now they're on liquifry 3.

forgot about that stuff. I was also thinking of baby brine shrimp

Couple questions:

1. Do you feed the yolk, or the white, or a bit of both?
2. How do you feed them, just drip a few drops in for the fry?

Thanks,
Peter

If I would feed my baby guppies egg lol i would have more fatter fish then they are now lol.... but I guess I will give it a go before I clean the tank...lol
You can also feed them peas ...

I take a blender or food processer and mix it all up, but not a lot of water, you want it to be like pudding, then I just put a little in at a time and watch them go crazy.

So you feed the whites and the yolks? That sounds pretty good. For now, I put a chunk of yolk for the fry to nibble on, how long would you suggest I leave it in for? I dont imagine he'll finish it off, since it's bigger than he is, but if I left it, it would slowly break apart.

What do you think?
Thanks again,
Peter

you feed them twice a day with it and I always clean out the old before giving the new.
