What about the salmon that were killed to make omega-one food? How is that any better than feading a guppy fry. I can understand it being unethical to kill a fish for pure entertainment purposes, but if its for food I see nothing wrong. It should be fine to feed the discus, as long as the fry are disease free.

i used to feed mine convicts right after they would hatch. what they didnt go after and pick off the bottom they would eat after they started freeswimming.
because your raising the fish...and know they dont have anything wrong with them i see no problem with the parasites. they wouldnt have any, if they did they would have shown signs. though live fry shouldnt be a main source. discus need a high veggie diet
