sinking pellets are good for small ones and small peices of zuccini are good ive never given any of my pelcos zuccini before but every pelco expert on this site say its good lettuce ancored to the bottom is another recommended food aswell i like the green yellow spotted pelco (L200) and the tiger pelco (L134) they are pretty i envy you we dont get them often in australia

I'm not too sure what to feed the L200 (as I haven't got one or ever had one) but I have 2 L134's and I give them a defrosted prawn every 10-14 days, leaving it over night and removing the remains and they love it. Blood worms are also a good treat. They also seem to love blanched cucumber and courgette. They're also on Hikari sinking wafers for catfish, loaches and bottom feeders (the orange pack) as well as JMC catfish pellets. Look forward to pics.

:good:

Are those the Ancistrus (sp) as opposted to the BN? I was told that they like black worms. I have the Jari Zebras and have had a devil of a time. I put Coreys in to help out with left overs. I have been using Hikari Sinking Wafers, the new Hikari Carnivore Pellets, New Spectrum Sinking Wafers (very slow dissolving--24 hours), black worms, frozen blood worms, Tetra and Nutra Sinking Tabs, and Boyd's Vita Crumble, and of course veggies and Hikari Algae Wafers. Someday I will find and try prawns. Oh, yes, and frozen Mysis Shrimp is back on the menu since my C melanotaenia spawned after I dug some out of the freezer because I was out of blackworms. :D

If you are about an herbavore mine leap on Hikari Sinking Wafers and Algae Wafers and so far only a little of the veggies.

Got some bad news im afraid, the Leopard frog died soon after I added it to the tank...He looked fine, I dont know what happened really  . I did get a refund for him from the lfs.

The Green phantom is doing well though. Heres a pic

I'm so sorry you lost your Leopard Frog. :(
Are you planning on getting another one? We've found ours to be quite shy but we do get the occasional glimpse. We feed ours pretty much the same as AlexandCarmen.
Our Green Phantom loves algae wafers and vegetables but his favourite tends to be cucumber/courgette.

Sorry to hear about the L134. They are gorgeous and a real treat to have in the tank. How big was yours when you got it?

Your L200 pics are gorgeous. A really beautiful specimen you have there.

:D

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Twas a shame about the L134, he looked a lovely fish. He was small, about 2 inches.

I will be getting another but it will be going in a bare bottom Discus grow out tank, hopefully ill have more luck next time.

Sorry to hear about the L134, if you don't mind me asking but how much did you pay for your L134 because i was in my local maidenhead and they wanted £35. does this sound right
