Feeding issue

In my 10 G tank I have white 5 cloud minnows and 7 celestial pearl danios. The minnows feed almost exclusively at the surface and the danios only feed mid tank. I’m not certain the danios are getting their fare share of food since the minnows chow down most of the food at the surface. Suggestions?

If it’s flake you could put it in the water before you let go, give it a little swish, then it won’t float.

Another option is to use small frozen foods like cyclops, moina, daphnia etc. Hold the cube in the water and swish it around a little as it melts, and these foods form a sort of cloud in the water. Useful for fish that feed at both levels (or with fry) for everyone to get a chance to feed.
