Are river shrimp ok for frontosas. They are kept in brackish water at my lfs. If so, how many should I feed 1 seven inch frontosa at a time please? I know to only feed every 2 to 3 days.

Yup, they're predetors and shrimp, fish and other aquatic meat is good for them. Fresh food like this contains a lot of water and you can fill them up on it.

Thanks Freddyk. Is there much chance of introducing disease from them? At the moment I have the river shrimp in a separate tank, 4g, with a teaspoon of salt in the water. There's 12 of them and I'm feeding the shrimp an algae wafer and a shrimp pellet a day to fatten them up. Oh dear, I'm getting attached to the shrimps now :*)

That's always my problem...... I get too attached to the food I'm thinking of using as live foods!!! Even bloodworms!! Ok no...not bloodworms, but daphnia I do - after all they were my child-hood fish - sea monkeys (actually I still have sea-monkeys!!) :*)

I too still had sea-monkeys up until a month ago when I caught my elbow on their tiny tank and they fell on the carpet :-( It's a bit squashed for room in my daughter's old bedroom, lots of tanks :*)

I have five fish tanks, my sea monkey tank, my triop tank (if u like sea-monkeys try these!!) and my exo-petz tank!! (again..if u like sea-monkeys these are even better!!)
They are all in my bedroom along with my maine coon cat!!
It's a good job I'm single...I think the managerie are going to have to mean that I'm going to have to sell my bed so that I can have more room (and pay for it!!) oh well...I love them...what else is there to it than that!
