Hi all, just a few quick questions on feeding cucumber to fish. I've been feeding some to my bristlenose, who seems to really like it.

* Should the cucumber's skin be peeled before putting it in the tank?

* How long should pieces of cucumber be left in the tank? Is 12 hours or overnight okay? I noticed each time I take it out, the cucumber (or whats left of it) is really damp and soggy.

* How often should cucumber be fed to fish? Should it be fed daily or every second day or is it more like a once a week treat?

Thanks in advance.

1) Doesnt have to be, my apple snail prefers that part, after he's eaten that, he goes to the rest. Give it a rinse under the tap (or put it in boiling water) to get rid of pestacides/other.
2) I leave my cucumber in for 2 days, it softens it and allows all of the fish/inverts to have some.
3) I feed mine twice a week, but as long as the diet is mixed up frozen/veg/flakes/other then you're fish should be fine.

Np.
