I have just acquired a pair of breeding halfback angels from a friend.

The food I was given with them was: 1.A pot of flake 2.A pot of high protein granules 3.Freeze dried daphnia
I was giving them a small amount of each 3 times a day.
Unfortunately I came home today and my dog had eaten the lot!
This is when I decided I'd better get an educated opinion on what is best to feed them as I will be starting a fresh.
I do have some flake left in the cupboard so they will be fine until I can get to the shop tomorrow.

What do you suggest I get for them and when do I feed it?

Thanks

Hi Jackrmee,i would get some Tetra Prima and maybe some frozen bloodworm and carry on with the flake aswell. Live food is better for getting them into breeding condition i ususally feed them whiteworm but its not that easy to get hold of these days. Just make sure you keep it out of reach from the dog

I do all the above plus cichlid pellets. And my breeding female loves fresh zucchini.

My dogs don't eat zucchini.

Thanks guys. I have ordered the tetra prima and cichlid pellets.
When do you recommend I feed them. I was thinking a pinch of one in the morning, a different one at dinner time and the other at night?

feeding the fish several times daily in small amounts, is better than once. :good:
