ok how many blood worms do you feed per betta?

i have two wee bettas, they're both about three months old

should i feed them one worm each, twice a day?

or two worms?

or lots more??

its just... i tend to feed them one or two... but its such a waste of a packet of bloodworms, because once they're defrosted they go off very quickly and there must be at least fifty in a pack

am interested to know how other people get around this!

i feed mine 2 blood worms every night b4 i go to bed. an i feed them 4 hikari boi gold in the morning an evening

I only feed my fish once a day. Remember a bettas stomach is as big as his eye, so it doesn't take much to fill them up. When feeding bloodworms I usually give 4 to each of my boys. They are older than yours, however, so if I was in your situation I would probably only feed them 2-3. Do you have any other fish you could feed the bloodworms to? All fish love them and they are a great treat. If not, you could try breaking a piece of the cube off and thaw that out instead of a whole cube. You can also buy them in sheets and break off smaller sized pieces. That way you are wasting less. What kind of bloodworms are you using?

I feed my adult betta males about 4 to 5 freeze dried bloodworms per day. Every once in awhile I will vary it but the bettas seem to thrive on the bloodworms so I don't vary it too much. A microwaved, skinned and mashed up pea every once in a while is good, too. I think it's generally a good idea to keep feeding as simple and regular as possible.

you need to very there diet as much as possible.

#1 they like it
#2 keeps them active
#3 keeps them healthy
#4 lessins the chance of constapation

At three months, they should be able to eat pellets. Just feeding them bloodworms isn't very good for them overall. They need more variety to make sure they're getting proper nutrition.

My 3-month-olds get pellets in the morning, and either daphnia or 3-4 bloodworms each at night. Since they're still young and growing, I like to make sure their bellies are nice and fat, so I feed them quite a bit more than I do my adults (unless I'm conditioning an adult for breeding).
