whoa, I didn't think my fry would grow quite this fast, but they're only 13 days old and already they loooove blood worms, the same ones I feed my adult fish!!  :) I mean, nothing wakes them up like sticking bloodworms in there, all my fry go crazy. lol. And they love peas too as I've found out over the last few days. I'm just amazed at how fast they grow, seem to double in size every day...it's crazy.

is this the same for brine shrimp 5teady?

I think that the reason that you should not feed bloodworms more than 1-2 times a week is due to the low quantity of amino acids (correct me if I'm wrong, 5teady) and other such nutrients. Brine shrimp can be fed more often but I wouldn't use it as a sole food source. Get a Ziploc bag/other bag and mix about half good quality flake and half freeze dried brine and pulverize it until it is small enough for the fry to eat.

yeah that is what i have done. i put about one teasespoon of the brineshrimp flakes and normal flakes and mashed it together. it is a nice way to get out your frustration LOL.

thanks.

brine shrimp can be fed twice a week, whilst there young its best not to feed to much of it.

my brine shrimp is both a flake form and dried. so i mixed some with regular flakes.

I never was very successful with brime shrimp, so I'm glad they're big enough to eat blood worms now, so that their diet is a bit more varied. :good:

If you are using flake that has brine shrimp or blood worms in it, it also usually is a balanced fish food. If you are using fresh or frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms, they are not a balanced diet. It would be like people expecting to stay healthy eating only one food. I don't care how healthy that food is in a normal diet, no single food is very healthy when you don't eat anything else.

I don't just feed them bloodworms, just once or twice a week.
