Just wondering if bettas eat off the ground because I have some frozen bloodworms that I would like to feed him but they sink to the bottom once broken up.
So will the betta eat them off the ground or will they only eat them at the top because they have an upturned mouth? If they will only eat them at the op how do you keep them from sinking?

They can eat off the ground. The first time I fed my betta a bit of pea, some chunks sank to the ground only to be gobbled up later. They just have to turn sideways and aim carefully to do it. You could try tweezers and holding the worms very lightly just above the water.

Actually, try dangling it just in the water. I dont know about your betta, but mine cant see anything thats above the water, only when its dipped into it.

What I do is get an eyedropper and suck a few bloodworms up into it (i dilute the liquid that the frozen ones are in with tank water) then hold it either just touching the water or right above it, squeezing the eye dropper just enough so that a worm is about halfway out. I did this with my ADF's too only i held the eyedropper underwater.

haha,

My PK Male (which i really need to try photo) goes nuts when he sees me going into the cabinet beneath the tank. He will then jump out of the water and hit the spoon with the pellets to knock food into the water :)

He absolutely loves the Atisons Betta Pro food :)

just an update my little fella eats off the gravel.
