Hi guys im nrw as from this hour

I was woundering i have a feather fin catfish ive had him for about 2 months ago and after advise from my fish shop that he would ok in with my cold water ive monitered my temp and it stays level but my question is

He lives with gold fish fanceys and ive noticed their tails are looking alittle shredded is it him or another goldie

I have tried rehoming him but have had no luck and pet shop wont have him either i would like to keep him/her but i dnt know what to do my tropical tank has neons and smaller fish frogs (adf) and a camaroon shrimp( vampire shrimp) and kuli loaches so he cant go there any advice

Water paramiters are

Nitrate: under 10ppm

Nitrite: 0

Ammonia: 0

Hardyness : soft

Featherfin catfish need water between 24-26 degrees and can grow to around 7-8 inches. They need a large tank when they reach adult size and they do grow quite quickly.

I'm afraid it will be the featherfin that's shredding your goldies fins; they're not in anyway compatible. You need to either re-home him, or get him a properly heated, 30 gallon minimum tank.

Yes, it will eat most of those fish as soon as it can get them in it's mouth...
