Favorite Fish?

I posted a thread not too long ago about which fish (in your opinion) had the biggest personality.
Well.... which fish is your favorite? Whether it be because of their personality or their looks or what have you?

I must say, my favorite fish is the common pleco! I don't know if I would love another like I love my gator.... but he just amazes me!
They are such hardy fish! He has survived a "jellied" tank! Coke in the tank! Candy in the tank! The worst ich outbreak I have ever seen in my life! And he is still a healthy big guy!

I never thought my favorite fish would end up being an "accessory" fish. (I don't feel this way. But I know so many people buy plecos as a fish that has a job... and not just because they love them!) That is how I ended up with Gator. My husband brought him home to live in a 5 gallon tank with guppies to keep the glass clean. Who would have thought, a few months later, I would have 3 tanks because of him!

So... do you have a story of your favorite fish?

This probably comes as no great surprise but I just adore pufferfish, they're such little characters, real inquisitive. Porcupine puffers are my particular favourite but obviously my beautiful new figure eight boy comes a pretty close second

My favorite fish would have to be rainbowfish. It all started back in the day around late 2007 for me, when I decided to check out this nice fish shop that caught my eye while I was on my way home from school. I entered the shop and WOW, I saw the nicest tank in the world, (at the time, in my opinion) there were a ton of aquatic plants and fish that included rainbowfish, redline torpedo barbs, tetras, and etc inside the tank, it was gorgeous! This was when it all began, I started to seriously get into rainbowfish, other tropical fish, and also the planted tank hobby.

Rainbowfish are simply put, my absolute favorite, IMO, because they are such beauties, eye candy! Their colors are really AWESOME! I just love the way they get so colorful to show their colors for females and sometimes between themselves. Their body shape is cool too.

There was the cutest little Oscar at the store the last time I went. It took all I had not to walk out of that store with him!

Is there only one favorite fish to like? Lol My next favorite would have to be black bar silver dollar red hooks, regular silver dollars, bala shark, and clown loaches lol.

My favorite fish would be the Pearl Gourami I have, he's very active and curious and pretty like a thousand shining stars.
I might introduce him to a lady one day so I have a lot of Gouramis

Like my username states, I LOVE cory catfish. They dig around the sand, and are so darn cute IMO. The whole thing started back in 2009 when I bought a bag of guppies and a sterbai corydoras ended up hitchhiking. Still have him today, with a few friends. Second favorite would probably be a Severum. So inquisitive, my Severum Steven is like a little puppy!

Yes, I really liked my green corys.  They are so peaceful and fun fish.

I would have to say an oscar. I had one a long time ago and he had the best personality and was so smart too. I taught him to flip over a little floating dish in his tank that would spill his food into the water haha. He would also play with a ping pong ball. Super cool. Right now I am really enjoying my german blue rams though. Very pretty fish.
 
 
 
I love plecos too. Even the common plecos are so pretty in my opinion haha

It is difficult I like lots of species but guess my favourites would be Featherfin Catfish Elephant nose Pictus catfish and Puffer fish. But love scats monos and clown loaches too

Hmm, tough choice.
Probably what has my eye at the moment. My stock is rather plain, but I and my wallet are plain as well. Always been fond of Angels, my first fish were two Angels bought with my allowence a lifetime ago. Gotta love my corys! Bettas are fun. Gouramis are great.
Love Plecos, but what poo factories! Never really cared for Oscars.
At present my newest additions are Black Neons. I haven't had Tetras in a coon's age, so watching thier antics is loads of fun.
But day in and day out, I would have to say corys.

I love bettas, neon tetras, mystery snails, and guppies. I've been keeping fish for a few years and have had bettas the longest. I really like my snails though cause they're so shy.
