Hi guys,
I have recently acquired a halide light unit, 4ft long with 2 halide bulb fittings and a compact t5 fitting. I was told one of the fittings was faulty and needed replacing. Since then I have tested it out and found this not to be the case, I don't know that I have the expertise to work out the problem so I am putting it out to you guys. The T5 bit works fine.
You know the layout:
Cable entry point on the end of the unit ................. Halide 1 ............... T5 ............... Halide 2
2 switches, one for the T5 and one for the halides.
If a bulb is in Halide 1, then Halide 2 does not work. If there is no bulb in Halide 1, then Halide 2 does work. I have 2 bulbs and have tried all combinations, it's definitely to do with the unit and not the bulbs.
Any idea what the problem might be? OR - if anyone who is confident that they can sort it wants the unit just make me an offer, I'd be quite happy to get rid of it!
Cheers
Paul
