Fat Or Constipated?

I have a male guppy and he is a male guppy not a heavily pregnant female!

I've been told it's a heavily pregnant female. Impossible as he was the only male until last Friday!
I would like to know if he his just fat or constipated.

I've been doing that, along with peas and veggie flakes! He has bowel movements, but is still a little fat sod!

I am sorry to burst your bubble, but that is a female and a very pregnant one at that. You can see the gravid spot and she only has color in her fin which is another thing giving it away. as for the "spike" or that anal fin, it looks like it has been bit off, but you can also see nibling at her tail fin!!!! ANYWAYS that IS A FEMALE!!!!!

Um....I can hardly see that being a female. The tail fin and the dorsal fin being long sure make me think it's a male. As does the body shape. Anyway, it's TF Keeper UK's fish, and if he says it's a male, I'm sure it is. Even if was a female, it wouldn't be pregnant, it would have something wrong with it. That isn't what a pregnant female looks like.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but if he's not constipate, or bloated, perhaps it's a tumor or something similar. Try posting in the Emergencies section. Also, look at the pinned topics so you know what to include in your post! Good luck!

Does his stomache/insides appear to be filling up with fluid at all? This is an important question- i've encountered alot of weird deseases with guppys in my time of keeping them over the years, this could be a particular rare desease i know of that is not actually constipation but rather somthing else.

I mean that the only way of id'ing it is the "spike" and it is has obviously been chewed at and you can see the same with "its" tail. Tha is what my preg. female lookes like when she gave birth. OH I AM SO CONFUSED?!?!?!?!?!

You can't go by colors alone. There are dull males and bright females. The gonopodium looks a little strange, but it may be the picture. There's only one that shows it. Considering TF Keeper UK owns the fish, and has probably seen him before the fish was ill, I think we can definitely trust him.

Tokis - He dosen't seem to have fluid retention. In fact he doesn't seem fazed by his obesity at all!

That he has been! He seems happy enough. He swims about as normal, chases the females (though I doubt he gets any!) lol

He looks quite cute and if he eats and everything and look ok maybe thats just his flueky bit lol. he has lovely colour

His colour was nice; he looks a bit washed out as well as fat now!
