Hey guys, I’m using fine black sand in my 57L fluval tank and ever since iv changed from gravel to sand my guppies like to rest on it. They come up for meal times and swim around a bit but is this normal? I have an albino corydoras that is always down there but I’m not sure if they are just copying it or? Some answers please because I am genuinely confused.. thank you

Ph - 6.5 temp is approx 74-78
I have 4 neon tetras, 4 fancy guppies, 1 corydoras
tank is more than a year old with the same fish.
The only change was from gravel to sand about 3 months ago. I’ve checked their health and they seem perfectly fine they are eating well and they swim strong and healthy so just wondering if it’s a normal characteristic for guppy’s to settle on the tank bottom?

What are the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels? I know it's not related to the Guppies but the corydora is a shoaling fish and needs a group of 6 or more but preferably 8 or more.

Neon tetra also need a group of 6 or more. Also guppies are hard water and neon and cory are soft water fish. Guppies can handle a wider range of water, Do you know what type of water you have and the GH and PH reading are?
