Eyes Are Going Missing

I'm not 100% on why it's started now but with a lot of fish aggression does usually get worse as they mature. Red tailed shark are known for aggression as they get older as an example. May be the same case with your widows. Just a thought
 
I had a kissing fish that kissed the eye right off a Molly... Didn't bother it, just looked very creepy so u gave it away. I also had a platy suck the eye off a terra when I forgot to feed them for a day. They do like eyes it seems.
 
Hi I have 5 blackwidows and the only time I have a bit of bother with them is when putting new fish in tank ,which last a couple of hours then they settle down again , so not sure it is these that would be taking the eyes ? not sure if this helps

Maybe you should give the loaches to your friend who is taking the sharks (provided its big enough) and get a zebra loach or yoyo loaches.
As for the eyes going missing dont know about the widows but my kissing gourami was so aggresive I had to rehome him.
