Hi all,

Got up this morning to find my Black Moore (Baby) has had its eye bitten out! I know BM's arnt tropical but I have this in a tropical tank. (Ive kept loads and are quiet big now)
Thing is, Do i seperate him from the pack? Or leave him be?
He is swimming around fine but kinda freaky with his eye missing :-(

How big of a tank do you have, what ther fish are in there, and what are the water stats?

One thing of concern is needing to identify the eye munching culperate. If it was not from agression then it is from a bacterial infection. Did you notice his eye bulging out yesterday?

Firstly, welcome to the forums. :)
If there is no tank mates that could pick on it, then look at your decor for the cause. As i wrote before when describing them ( http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=143767 ) when you own black moors you need to be extra cautious about your decor, no jagged or pointed objects or fake plants because it can damage their delicate eyes.
They really should be in cold water imo. Sure they may still get along with other tropicals and grow okay but their life span will be reduced because of the temperature.
