Okay, well my female Green Terror got into a bit of a barney and lost, amongst some small injuries, her eye was injured in the fight. At first it looked like it was cloudy after it happened, then in the course of 1 day, the eye now looks like it has a blister on it, which is whitish in colour.
I can see her eye through this blister looking thing, which she is trying to use....my question is....what the hell is the blister type looking thing on her eye??? :/

All help much appreciated

Can you issolate the fish i would use a bacterial med it sounds infected.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to isolate her, my hospital tank has a patient in it atm.
But I used a bacterial/fungal/parasitic solution, that is safe for the rest of the fish in the tank.

Will see how that goes...I hope she'll be alright, she's my favourite :-(

Good luck, if you have any more problems you will have to rehome the bully.

The bully was frozen last night. The lfs didn't want him, and being in a regional city makes it hard to rehome as well.

I've heard of some extra awesome stuff to use, so if this treatment doesn't work, I'll give this other stuff a go.

Also from what info I've read up on, could it possibly be popeye??
Although the info I found only said it appears from behind the eye, causing it to bulge. Can popeye form this kind of bubble blister thing over the eye??

Does it look like this.

Couldn't quite tell from that pic..but it looks similar to this.

Popeye then and you will need to get treating as it a build up of fluids which is closely related to dropsy.
Maracyn one.
Sorry not in the states but you will need a good bacterial med, good luck.

Melafix does have it uses on cut and wounds, but with popeye i wouldnt risk it as it closely related to dropsy because of the build up of fluids.

Hey Wilder,

I haven't been on the comp for the last couple of days, so I didn't see your post.

I've been using Melafix, and the eye has been shrinking back....the blister is now only a fifth of the size it was, and we're only day 3 of treatment.

I'll continue with the Melafix, as she doesn't have any symptoms of dropsy, but I've been keeping a close eye on her just in case.

Will keep updating :)

ulcar maby? my sister's betta died from something like that, i gave her some of the medication it needed but it was too late

Ok, bless him never used melafix so don't know how good it is, just abit concerned when it comes to popeye as iit can be a killer, glad he doing ok, please keep us all updated.

glad to here he is doing ok also. melafix is a good brand, it almost saved a black japanese moorne i had once, it lived a little longer, but didn't make it
