Extremely Strange Behaviour - Guppy And Platty

Hi all,

My male platty and male guppy keep fighting. The male guppy bullies a couple of the other fish in the tank, namely a new female platty that I added to the tank. It's happened since I introduced her as the other female platty I have kept getting pregnant and I wanted to try and divert the attention away from her.

It's very odd. I've never heard of guppys being boisterous or indeed plattys fighting. Have you?

They are locking lips and are really not happy with each other at all.

between my platy males they will buff up at each other and a female platy would go after my powder blue gourami.. now all of them are in their own tank.

if they are similar colour then that could be the reason. if there are female guppies then there shouldn't be as much aggression, try adding more females.
