External Filters, Which One?

Hi all,

I have a Juwel Rekord 800, Volume: approx. 110 Litres, Measurements: 81 x 36 x 45 cm,this has been running very well for over a year now, but i'm thinking of removing the internal filter and replacing it with an external filter, i've got about £70 to play with (i'm hoping this is enough), does anyone have any suggestions as to what sort of filter i should be looking at?

There are loads to choose from I personally use the rena xp2 and one by all pond solutions ef1000 I have never had a problem with either plus I got them for £23 and £27 respectively although you can buy the ef1000 from fleabay for £45 I think! Do you have plans of upgrading soon? If you do it will pay you to buy a larger one now instead of having to replace it when you upgrade! I use an internal and external on each both my larger tanks I overstock

I'm not allowed to upgrade, she who must be obeyed has put her foot down!!!!!! As we have another smaller tank (2ft by 1ft x 1ft) and a 6 month old little girl, thats why the money is a little tight and not being allowed to upgrade.

me personally I would have a look that ef1000 it will be plenty for your tank and bigger if you convince the mrs! Dont forget it is fathers day soon so be nice tomorrow and fingers crossed!!
