it would be but im looking for one aroond 20 squid, ive found one on ebay and im just looking at what is needed to get it up & running

goodness well good luck! I would think that's a little optimistic to get a filter powerful enough for that price, but I've never shopped for a used one so what do I know!

which ones are you looking at? I'm so glad I got something with the power of the EX1200 for my 3ft, I can't imagine using anything less with it anyway...

I hav the 1800 it's a really good filter for the price I'd say go with that
