I'm writing this on behalf of my friend he's getting a 520l (about 140 us gallon) tank which comes with a overhead filter and 2x 300 watt heater he wants to replace the filter with a external filter with built in heater but is only 150 watt would that be enough to heat the tank correctly or would he still need a internal heater. He wants as little as possible in the tank.

He is the filter he wants to get

I've got an all pond solutions external filter ( not that one ) I have a 200w heater in a 50gal. I think your friend will be safer with another heater maybe a 200w+. I know why he wants as little as possible in there, maybe look into external heaters.

Are the filters good? They seem well priced might get myself one

Not had it too long, mine is the 2000l/h with uvc and the flow rate is too high for my 50gal, lots of media and very well priced.

Hmm interesting filter.. I may have to do some research and see if I can't find one here in the states.

As for your friend I would say get two filters.  It also depends on how many degrees above ambient room temperature he has to heat it to The extra filtration wouldn't be bad and 300W of heating power is the lowest I'd recommend for a tank that size and thats only if he has to heat it a couple of degrees above room temp. If he really wants to keep clutter out of the tank have him look into a hydor in-line heater. I believe they make 350W heaters. (dont quote that lol)
