got it all setup but its incredibly noisey! i have emptied and re-primed god knows how many times, i think its sucking in air from somewhere but it cant be the inlets as i can see no air going down the tube.

also is it normal if you lean the unit over to about 30 degree for it to seriously leak water out??? that just seems stupid! the triangular "holes" each side of the clips seem to really leak water, am i missing some seals or something as i only have a single rubber seal around the main impeller housing which is below the line where hte water leaks from???? so confused and fed up, been fiddling with it for 4 hours now

This may sound a silly question but you have got the pipes the right way round haven't you? It should suck in through the bottom and push water out through the top.

yes, im getting flow out the spray bar, but doest seem like much flow... not more than mu current 600lph juwel internal anyway

if i rock the unit i get lots of air out the spray bar, just cant seem to get all the air out no matter how or what i do

Check the O-ring, make sure it's well lubricated and there are no particles stopping it from sealing.

have checked it a few times, think i now have it so it doesnt leak but its still noiser than my car!

It should settle down, as with anything new, certain components take a while to 'bed in', also let the trapped gas disperse on its own, if after 24 hours the noise hasn't stopped I'd contact the manufacturer.

i cant let it run i can hear it upstairs! and its in a cupbaord downstairs!

think ill try stripping it down again tomorow and then contact the seller if its no better:( boo!

Is your's one of the ones with a UV filter, OP? If it is, you must fit the glass cover; they do leak if you don't.

They sometimes take a lot of priming to force the air through, you could try that if you haven't.

it does have the uv light, it was all assembled when i got it so not touched it. Also should the uv light switch be a little "loose" ? i can move it around a bit

Hi there,

You can try gently tilting it back and fore a few times, to see if it releases any trapped air?

it does, only problem is it keeps spitting out air, it must be getting in past the o ring or something as no air is coming down the inlet pipe

are the connections all under water,i found if the connections where it joins onto the u shaped connection is not under water it sucks in air

Its not a Ehiem 255 by any chance is it? Because of late I have had similar problems, all connections are good, no leak and yet the pump is noisy and flow rate is minimal. I recon the motors may just wear out after a time!
