Just bought a used Juwel Triton 350 and want to get a new or used external filter for it.. At the moment i have a fluvial 205 that needs new pipes and media but I was thinking of getting a better filter instead of replacing the parts for it.

I got 2 tetratec ex1200's on my juwel rio 400. I swapped over to them to replace my fluval fx5. I love them. Not only are they very good in means of water flow and keeping my tank in top form but they are also relitavely cheap, very well built and wisper quiet.

I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new external. I paid £89 each brand new and delivered. Rated for tanks of up to 500 litres with 1200 lph

I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new external. I paid £89 each brand new and delivered. They are packed with media (spread over 4 trays) Rated for tanks of up to 500 litres with 1200 lph turnover without media and around 950 lph when full of media.

I'd get one... Maybe even 2 of these :)

i wrote this earlier on a similar thread to yours:

i was recommend the tetratec ex1200 and external hydor 300w heater, AMAZING items work perfect together as they are both 16mm tubes my tank flows all over at a constant temperature.

i did have an initial problem with the powerhead in the primer button jammed, its was flowing however, so i called tetratec on freephone number and this is the bit that seals it for me, the number was free and transferred to germany, 3 days later new powerhead arrived, they asked no questions at all just apologised, i phoned them to say thanks and asked do they sell extension pieces to spray bars seperately to which they replied they will send free of charge!!!!

so customer services is the best ive ever encountered in anything and i work in sales and deal with companies such as HP, brother, LG, sony, etc and these are amazing.

BUY a tetratec ex1200 mate

Don't want to say it too soon but luckily iv not had any problems with either of mine yet but I have heard from other members and places that tetratec's customer service is very good. Iv also heard that if they will send u a replacement power head for free if it breaks within the first 3 years of purchase :)

Just looking then doe's that heater go inside the filter

No what u do it cut the outlet hose going from the filter to the tank and attached the bottom of the heater to the hose coming off the filter then you put the other half of the inlet hose on the top part of the heater and into the tank.

So the water comes out of the filter, through the pipe, through the heater and then through the 2nd half of the pipe going into the tank :) it will seem sooo much clearer if you were to buy them lol

Am on a budget at the moment but finding it hard to find a used tetratec ex1200 as there all pick up only and to far to go and collect. I was looking at a AQUA ONE AQUIS 1200 and just wanted to know if it was any good
