Cheers. I missed that one too I guess. I am hoping for a january one again to get a filter maybe.

Just one last time diverting from the main topic, but read somewhere that the the spray bar can be replaced with eheim ones.

Sorry, been away!

I have no idea, I'm afraid, I havent seen the eheim spray bars. However I can confirm that the tubes fit a fluval 204 ;) lol

How are the fish doing?

In relation to replacing the spray bar I have copied below a comment from one of the reviews on the APS website:

I've been running one of these for a month now. I am very happy as the internal volume is huge & the flow rate is great. I couldn't find any other product that had a 20 litre internal capacity, 2000 litres per hour turnover & a UV light. My only criticisms are the supplied hose is too rigid & the intake pipes & spray bar are a little flimsy/weak; I replaced these with Eheim accessories pack 1 & 2 16mm, & Eheim 16/22 mm hose, and now I'm totally confident in this unit, it is very well made. This is one of the best purchases I've made for my 300+ litre marine (reef & fish) tank. I presently use this filled with live rock rubble, Seachem Purigem & Denitrate. It has really helped keeping my tank super clean, THIS IS A GREAT UNIT. (Posted on 19/09/2011)

Hey,

The fish have done great, had 1 rummynose pts myself, and unfortunately a Harelquinn passed whilst I was away. Been testing the water everyday and doing changes when appropriate, but bar the first couple of days back, all has been fine. Ended up moving the majority of the media to a spare 204 I had and that is working.

Heard back from APS andthey have suggested a new impeller (£6!!! such good value!) btu I have asked for detailed instructions regarding installation and indentifying the impeller as being broken because I don't wanna knacker any warrenty. That was on the 29th and I still havent heard back

Happy New Year!
Great to know fish are getting over that crisis.
By the way, you said the filter is in warranty, but they are still going to charge you for the impeller? Do they consider this a non-manufacturing fault...Ah, well, mine arrived, but still has to come out of the box and into the tank. I checked the UV switch, it's on the side of the filter under a plastic cap.
